Prove Mobility Limits: Upload Assistive Device Photos and RX Notes Today

Discuss on Reddit

Cane, brace, or orthotics? Turn them into rating ammo today. Right now, document your prescribed assistive devices to prove functional loss and instability. Take photos of your cane/brace/walker/orthotics with your name label or RX sticker, plus a close-up showing wear. In My HealtheVet Blue Button, download the Prosthetics Consult or prescription note showing medical necessity; if you can’t find it, request it on VA.gov. Upload the photos and note to your claim, and add a short statement logging use, distance limits, and any falls—this supports MSK and neurologic ratings.

About VA Claim Helper

VA Claim Helper is led by a U.S. Navy submariner (ET2/SS, USS Pittsburgh 1995–2005) translating VA law into plain-English claim strategy so veterans can document service connection, prep for C&P exams, and win ratings without guesswork.

We publish daily VA disability tips, evidence checklists, and field manuals that walk you from Intent to File through appeals. Every guide is battle-tested with the veteran community and refreshed when VA policy shifts so the intel stays mission ready.
