Log into VA.gov, open your active claim, and upload one PDF titled “Hardship Expedite Request” with a brief statement plus proof (eviction/shutoff notice, foreclosure, past‑due rent, bankruptcy, repossession, wage garnishment). Immediately call 800‑827‑1000 to confirm the hardship flag is applied and ask the rep to note your evidence. Also submit the same packet via Ask VA to belt‑and‑suspenders it.
